Colossians 3:1,2 Various Scripture Song Songwriters

Hey Mandolyn Maniacs – This Is The Victory 1 John 5:4 by Jack Marti with Eric Davis

Here’s another scripture song I learned in the late ’80s. Again, I don’t know who composed the music, but it was fairly popular among scripture song enthusiasts I knew at the time. If anyone knows who composed the music, I’d be glad to give them credit. Keep hiding the Word in your heart. Some day it’s all we’re going to have. – Jack Marti

Whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world;
Whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world;
And this is the victory that overcometh the world,
Even our faith,
Even our faith.

Whatsoever is born of God….
And this is the victory, first John five: four
Even our faith,
Even our faith.

I learned this scripture song back in the ’80s, but I don’t remember where it came from. If anyone knows who composed the music, I would love to know that and would gladly give them credit. I asked Eric to play with me on this one because the rhythm seemed to lend itself to more of a bluegrass styling. – Jack Marti

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God,
That ye present your bodies a living sacrifice,
Holy, acceptable unto God,
Which is your reasonable service.

And be not conformed to this world:
But be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind,
That ye may prove what is that good,
And acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
